Chanticleer Garden in Wayne, Pennsylvania, is a 48-acre botanical garden built on the grounds of the Rosengarten estate, which was originally a summer home for Adolph G. Rosengarten Sr. and his wife Christine in 1912.

The estate was part of Philadelphia’s historic Main Line, and the family’s pharmaceutical company, Rosengarten & Sons, became part of Merck & Company in the 1920s. After inheriting the property in 1946, Adolph G. Rosengarten Jr. established a foundation to ensure the estate would be developed into a public garden.

The gardens opened to the public in 1993 and combine historic terraces, expansive lawns, and woodlands with contemporary garden design, featuring diverse spaces such as the Pond Garden, Teacup Garden, Minder Woods with towering trees, a Tennis Court Garden, and the creative "Ruin" Garden made from the remains of an old house. The garden is known for its imaginative plantings with over 5,000 different plant taxa, sustainable gardening practices, and educational programs.

The name Chanticleer means rooster in French, and rooster motifs are found throughout the garden. Its mix of natural beauty, art, and horticultural creativity offers visitors a unique and relaxing experience.​
