Conte Ferdinando Guicciardini Castello di Poppiano is a historic Tuscan castle located in the village of Poppiano near Florence.

Originally built around the 11th century as part of Florence’s defensive system, it has been owned by the influential Guicciardini family for centuries, with documented ownership dating back to 1199. The castle played an important role in regional history and was damaged during the Siege of Florence in 1529.

Over time, it evolved from a fortified stronghold into an elegant country estate, undergoing major renovations in the 18th and 19th centuries while retaining many of its medieval features. Today, Castello di Poppiano is best known as a working wine estate in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini region. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, it combines centuries of history with traditional wine production.
