D'Albertis Castle is a striking neo-Gothic castle overlooking the harbor of Genoa from Montegalletto Hill.

Built between 1886 and 1892 as the home of sea captain and explorer Enrico Alberto D'Albertis, the castle combines medieval-inspired architecture with elements reflecting his travels and fascination with different cultures. It was constructed on the remains of older fortifications dating back to the medieval and Renaissance periods.

After D'Albertis's death in 1932, he donated the castle and his collections to the city of Genoa. Today, it houses the Museum of World Cultures, which displays ethnographic, archaeological, and historical objects gathered during voyages across Africa, the Americas, Oceania, and other regions. The castle is known for its distinctive design, richly decorated interiors, and panoramic views of Genoa and the Ligurian Sea.
