The garden's layout features a wide grassed allee flanked by rock walls, flagstone paths, and a reflecting pool with a peaceful pond and bog garden. It includes historical elements such as the Squire Boone Cabin, honoring Daniel Boone’s father and illustrating frontier life post-American Revolution.

Other features include a meditation maze of ferns and hemlock and a fernery area for quiet reflection. The garden has grown to become a tranquil space filled with native Appalachian plant species and serves as a center for education, conservation, and community events, including concerts and seasonal activities, reflecting the region's natural heritage.
