Dasburg is a small municipality in the Bitburg-Prüm district of Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany, situated near the Luxembourg border along the Our River valley at around 340 meters elevation.
Home to about 100 residents across 4.8 square kilometers, it centers on the medieval Burgruine Dasburg castle ruins, likely built around 850 as a refuge for Prüm Abbey monks from Norman raids and gifted by King Pippin. The site passed through hands including the Counts of Vianden, Nassau.
Spanish rule before French demolition in 1813, leaving a 22-meter tower, walls, and gate amid scenic hiking trails and panoramic views.
