Eldridge Park in Elmira, New York, is a historic amusement and recreational park with origins dating back to the mid-19th century when Dr. Edwin Eldridge bought the land in 1857 and developed it initially as a sculpture garden with a fountain.

Opened to the public in 1870, the park was intended as a place for local residents to enjoy fresh air and exercise. It features a picturesque lake, walking trails, and a variety of attractions that include an 1890s Charles Looff Carousel installed in 1924, known to be one of the fastest traditional carousels in the U.S., with an operating brass ring feeder—one of only about twenty remaining.

Other amenities include miniature golf, paddle boats, a tilt-a-whirl, flying scooters, a miniature train, pony carts, and various family rides. The park also has picnic areas, a skate park, soccer and baseball fields, a playground, a disc golf course, an off-leash dog park, and a splashpad.

Throughout its history, it has been a popular community gathering place offering a blend of amusement rides, natural beauty, and cultural heritage, maintained with efforts from local preservation groups. Special events and entertainment are common, making it a vibrant spot for families and visitors year-round, primarily active from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
