It originally opened in 1946 as Kiddieland and was renovated and renamed Enchanted Island in 1991 after a community effort restored its historic Allan Herschell Carousel, which has been operating since 1948. The park offers eleven whimsical rides including the popular C.P. Huntington Train, kiddie roller coaster Dragon Wagon, spinning teacups, a parachute tower, mini helicopters and spaceships, and the Red Baron planes.

Seasonal attractions include bumper boats and a Splash Zone with water features for cooling off. Enchanted Island also features carnival games, a giant climbing wall designed to resemble the Grand Canyon, pedal boats on a fish-filled lagoon, and family-friendly entertainment.
