The Fairmount Park Horticulture Center in Philadelphia is a spacious greenhouse, exhibition hall, and garden complex located in West Fairmount Park, built in 1979 on the site of the historic 1876 Horticultural Hall.
The center features a 31,000-square-foot greenhouse filled with tropical plants, the 27-acre Centennial Arboretum, and a series of beautiful demonstration gardens, reflecting pool, and butterfly garden, all open to visitors for free, except for admission to the Japanese House.
Its grounds also include striking cherry tree plantings, whimsical sculptures and fountains, gazebos, and tranquil spaces such as the Pavilion in the Trees, making it both a horticultural showcase and a relaxing urban retreat with historical ties to the 1876 Centennial Exposition.
