Falak-ol-Aflak Castle is a large Sasanian-era fortress in the center of Khorramabad, Iran, built on a high hill to control the surrounding area.
It was long used as a military and administrative stronghold, later served as a prison, and is now a museum complex with archaeology and anthropology collections. The castle is one of the city’s best-known landmarks because of its hilltop setting, massive walls, and long history.
