Forsthaus Schloss Kehrdichannichts
Bad Dürkheim, Germany, Germany
Forsthaus Schloss Kehrdichannichts is a former 18th-century hunting lodge in the Palatine Forest near Bad Dürkheim, Germany, rebuilt as a single-story forester's house after destruction during the French Revolution in 1793.
Commissioned in 1707 by Count Johann Friedrich von Leiningen as a wooden hut to oversee hunting grounds and expanded into a castle completed in 1722 by his son Friedrich Magnus, its whimsical name ("Don't worry about it") stems from a legend where the count dismissed warnings about approaching French troops.
Now preserved as a historic ruin and cultural site amid forests between the Isenach and Schwabenbach valleys at 431 meters elevation, it reflects Leiningen noble heritage and regional border tensions.
