Festung Landau is the name usually given to the historic fortress complex of the town of Landau in der Pfalz, Germany, which was transformed from a medieval town into a large, modern polygonal fortress in the late 17th century under French rule.

The main fortification works were carried out between 1688 and 1691 following plans by the French military engineer Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, with an eight‑kilometer circumference main wall and numerous outer defensive works surrounding the city.

The most prominent surviving part is the Landauer Fort, a large detached fortress built from 1700 to 1702 just north of the town on the Kaffenberg as an advanced outer defense, in which extensive stone walls, casemates, and underground mine tunnels still stand today.

The fortress lost its military importance in the 19th century and was largely dismantled after 1867, although many of its subsurface structures and several extensive above‑ground sections, including the Landauer Fort with its about 3.3 kilometers of wall, remain visible and are now used for guided tours and cultural events in and around Landau.
