Frekhaug is a village at the southern tip of Holsnøy island in Alver Municipality, Vestland county, Norway, about 30 km north of Bergen along the Salhusfjorden, serving as the former administrative center of Meland municipality until 2020. It features Frekhaug Manor, a protected rococo-style two-story log house built around the 1780s with a hipped roof and granite walls, originally purchased that year by skipper Cort Abrahamsen Holtermann and owned since 1914 by the Nordhordland home mission. The area includes schools like Meland Ungdomsskule and Nordhordland Folkehøgskule, blending residential life with historical and educational significance.
