Fulda City Palace
Fulda, Germany, Germany
Fulda City Palace (Stadtschloss Fulda) is a magnificent Baroque residence in the heart of Fulda, Hesse, Germany, built between 1706 and 1714 by architect Johann Dientzenhofer for Prince-Abbot Adalbert von Schleifras.
Originally a summer palace for Fulda's prince-bishops on the Fulda River, it features a symmetrical four-wing layout with hipped roofs, ornate staterooms like the lavish Hall of Mirrors, and classicist additions from Elector Wilhelm II.
Today it serves as the city administration headquarters with museums displaying local porcelain collections, historical rooms evoking absolutist grandeur, and manicured gardens, drawing visitors for guided tours and cultural exhibits.
