Giardino Monte Linasia
Italy, Italy
Giardino Montano Linasia is a small mountain botanical garden and nature reserve in Sardinia, near Monte Linas in the Marganai Forest, close to San Benedetto in the Iglesias area.
It covers about 9,000 square meters and was created to show the native plant communities of the region, including many Sardinian endemics and a few rare species found only in very limited areas. The garden is arranged into different habitat sections, such as open areas, woodland, streamside vegetation, and a collection of endemic plants, so visitors can see how local flora grows in nature.
It also includes renovated mining buildings used for hospitality and education, making it both a botanical site and a place to learn about the landscape and history of the area.
