Gleiberg Castle is a well-preserved medieval fortress atop a volcanic hill in Wettenberg, Hesse, Germany, with origins tracing back to around 950 AD when it was built by the Conradine family as a strategic stronghold.

Expanded over centuries through ownership by families like the Luxembourgs, Merenbergs, and Nassau-Weilburgs, it faced destruction in 1103 by King Henry V and again in 1646 during the Thirty Years' War, after which it transitioned from military use to an administrative center.

Today, the site features an upper castle ruin with a viewing platform offering panoramic vistas of the Lahn Valley, a lower castle housing a restaurant and event spaces, and ongoing preservation by the local Gleibergverein since 1879, drawing visitors for hikes, history, and gatherings.
