Gruson‑Gewächshäuser is a tropical botanical garden in Magdeburg, Germany, housed in a complex of historic greenhouses on Schönebecker Straße, near the city’s Klosterbergegarten.

It was founded by the industrialist and plant collector Hermann Gruson in the late 19th century, who left his large succulent collection and a substantial sum to the city, and the greenhouses first opened to the public in 1896 with a Victoria (water‑lily) house added in 1910.

The site covers about 4,000 square meters across 10 exhibition halls, displaying roughly 3,000 plant species, including a major cactus and succulent collection, tropical fruit and ornamental plants, giant palms up to 16 meters tall, ferns, bromeliads, and a dedicated Mediterranean‑plants house.

The facility also features an annex with aquariums and terrariums, including a large Elbe‑river‑landscape tank as well as crocodiles, turtles, and other animals, and it remains a popular local institution open daily except Mondays for visitors who enjoy walking among lush, exotic plant life and seasonal special exhibits.
