Gut Damp
Damp, Germany, Germany
Gut Damp is a historic manor estate in the village of Damp, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on the Schwansen peninsula near the Baltic Sea and Schlei inlet.
First mentioned in 1438 under the Bishops of Schleswig, it passed to the noble von der Wisch family in 1519, who built the current Renaissance-style main house on an artificial island between 1595 and 1597, later enhanced with Baroque features.
Owned by the Counts of Reventlow since the late 19th century, it remains an active farm with protected heritage buildings, now offering luxury lofts in restored barns, a regional restaurant, and agritourism amid scenic coastal landscapes.
