Gut Drült
Stoltebüll, Germany, Germany
Gut Drült is a historic manor estate in Stoltebüll near Kappeln, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, first documented in 1397 as Trölegaard and owned by the Rumohr family for over 500 years, becoming the seat of the Rumohr-Drült line in 1793.
After a devastating fire in 1800, the entire complex was rebuilt from 1802-1810 in mature neoclassical style by Danish architect Christian Axel Bundsen, featuring a compact yet grand Herrenhaus and integrated farm buildings typical of the Angeln region's Dreiseithof layout.
Today, the 16th-generation owner Frederik Schack von Rumohr manages sustainable organic farming, forestry, chickens, bees, and gourmet products on its lands between the Schlei fjord and Baltic Sea.
