Gut Lundsgaard
Grundhof, Germany, Germany
Gut Lundsgaard is an aristocratic manor estate in Grundhof, Nordangeln, Schleswig-Flensburg district, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, with origins as a 12th-century moated tower castle built to defend against Wendish sea raids.
First mentioned in the 15th century under Ritter Erik Nielsen before passing to Jürgen Lund and later families like von der Wisch, Rantzau, and others, its current two-story Herrenhaus dates to 1779 after earlier structures burned, once spanning 390 hectares before partial division in 1787. Today it operates as a modern arable farm and seed production hub under the Petersen family since 1908.
