Gutshaus Döbbelin
Stendal, Germany, Germany
Gutshaus Döbbelin is a Baroque manor house in the village of Döbbelin, a district of Stendal in Saxony-Anhalt's Altmark region, Germany, constructed in 1736 by Hans-Christoph von Bismarck on the foundations of an earlier structure destroyed in the Thirty Years' War.
Owned by the von Bismarck family since 1344—making it their oldest possession, now in its 19th generation—it features a rectangular layout with a central risalit, high plinth, mansard roof, and an adjacent park restored to its original Baroque design.
After DDR-era use as apartments, a store, post office, kindergarten, doctor's office, and library, Alexander von Bismarck privately restored it starting in 1991, returning it to residential use while preserving its protected status.
