Hershey Gardens in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is a 23-acre botanical garden that first opened in 1937 as a gift from Milton S. Hershey to honor his wife and to benefit the community.

Originally featuring just a rose garden with thousands of roses, it has expanded into a diverse array of themed gardens, including perennial, herb, Japanese, and rock gardens, along with a historic rose garden now home to thousands of rose bushes representing many varieties. Visitors can explore meandering pathways lined with colorful seasonal displays, rare and stately trees, and hands-on attractions such as the revitalized Children’s Garden filled with whimsical and educational features.

A major highlight is the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory, which houses the year-round Butterfly Atrium—one of only a select few indoor tropical butterfly exhibits in the country. Overlooking the town of Hershey and near other local attractions, Hershey Gardens offers an ever-changing, family-friendly experience with educational programs, interactive exhibits, and stunning floral beauty designed to delight guests throughout the year.
