Hotel Jagdschloss Letzlingen
Gardelegen, Germany, Germany
Hotel Jagdschloss Letzlingen is a neo-Gothic hunting lodge built from 1843 by Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV on the ruins of a 16th-century Jagdburg in Letzlingen near Gardelegen, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, designed by architects Friedrich August Stüler and Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse with crenellated towers, a chapel completed in 1861, and a kastellanhouse finished in 1868.
Originally a royal hunting retreat in the Letzlinger Heide amid game enclosures, it later served as a school, SA training site, wartime hospital, and post-1945 district clinic before restoration by the Kulturstiftung Sachsen-Anhalt into a modern hotel with 36 rooms, restaurant, conference facilities, and a museum exhibit on regional hunting history.
Guests enjoy its Baroque-era ambiance, gardens, free parking, and proximity to hiking trails in a peaceful rural setting.
