Hückeswagen Castle in Hückeswagen, Germany, is a historic fortress first documented in 1189 as the seat of the Counts of Hückeswagen on a mountain spur overlooking the Wupper Valley, evolving from a medieval castrum Hukingiswage into the town's defining landmark.

Originally a strategic stronghold that passed to the Counts of Berg in 1260, it features the prominent "Schelmenturm" bergfried tower from the early 13th century, later reduced in height during 19th-century restorations amid centuries of decay and pledges.

Today it houses municipal offices and a local history museum in the north wing, showcasing Bergisch crafts, domestic culture from the 18th-19th centuries, medieval documents, and historical films, earning the town its "Schloss-Stadt" title since 2012.
