Organized into six phytogeographic sectors representing continents plus Argentine natives, it houses around 5,500 plant species including tipas, lapachos, and exotic trees, with elegant French-style greenhouses, a Victorian mansion where Thays lived, and the iconic Columna Meteorológica. Declared a National Historic Monument in 1996, it offers free daily access for education, conservation, and leisurely walks amid serene paths near Palermo Parks and the Ecoparque, open Tuesday-Friday 8am-7pm and weekends 9:30am-7pm.
