Hawaii, United States
Kalōpā State Recreation Area is a serene 100-acre forested park at 2,000 feet elevation near Honokaʻa on Hawaii's Big Island, about 40 miles northwest of Hilo, adjoining a 500-acre native forest reserve with lush ʻōhiʻa lehua trees, ferns, and an arboretum of endemic Hawaiian plants like rare loulu palms.
