Karjai Fort is a historic 16th-century fortress located in the Kotli District of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.

It was built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1556 and 1605 to help govern the newly conquered regions and facilitate administration. The fort is situated on a hilltop, about 4850 feet above sea level, providing a strategic vantage point over the surrounding area.

Originally one of the largest forts in the region, it features concentric walls, chambers, and defense structures designed for military and administrative purposes. Over the centuries, it has witnessed various historical events, including Mughal governance, conflicts during regional wars, and later uses by local authorities.

Today, Karjai Fort remains an important cultural heritage site, attracting visitors interested in its historical significance and impressive architecture, although it faces some neglect that has led to its current dilapidated state.
