The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the main public visitor center for NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, located on Merritt Island, Florida, along the state’s Space Coast.

It offers a wide range of exhibits and displays about American spaceflight, including historic rockets, real flown spacecraft, space suits, and interactive shows, plus two large IMAX theaters and a variety of bus tours that go behind NASA’s gates to places like Launch Complex 39 and the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

A major highlight is the “Space Shuttle Atlantis” exhibit, where the Atlantis orbiter is displayed in mid‑flight attitude with open payload doors, along with a simulator that gives the feeling of a shuttle launch, and the center also includes experiences themed around astronaut training and future missions to the Moon and Mars.

General admission includes a narrated bus tour of the spaceport, and the complex is designed to appeal to all ages, combining education, hands‑on activities, and live presentations by retired astronauts and space experts.
