Khinaliq Village, located high in the Caucasus Mountains of Quba District, Azerbaijan, is one of the oldest and highest continuously inhabited mountain villages in the region.
Perched at more than 2,000 meters above sea level, it is known for its dramatic alpine scenery, ancient stone houses, and a unique culture that has been preserved through centuries of isolation. The village is home to the Khinalug people, who speak their own distinct language and maintain traditional customs and pastoral lifestyles.
Recognized as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Cultural Landscape of Khinalig People and “Köç Yolu” Transhumance Route, Khinaliq offers visitors a rare glimpse into an ancient mountain community surrounded by some of Azerbaijan’s most breathtaking landscapes.
