The Kolsai Lakes, often called the “Pearls of the Tien Shan,” are a series of three stunning alpine lakes located in the mountains of southeastern Kazakhstan within Kolsai Lakes National Park.

Surrounded by dense spruce forests, flower-filled meadows, and snow-capped peaks, they are considered among the most beautiful natural attractions in the country. The lakes lie at different elevations and are connected by hiking trails that pass through spectacular mountain scenery. Their crystal-clear waters, peaceful surroundings, and dramatic landscapes make the area ideal for hiking, horseback riding, camping, photography, and wildlife watching.

Part of a protected national park near the border with Kyrgyzstan, the Kolsai Lakes are known for their pristine environment and rich biodiversity. Their combination of turquoise mountain waters and breathtaking natural beauty makes them one of the most memorable destinations in Central Asia.
