Krevese
Germany, Germany
Krevese is a small village and district of Osterburg in Saxony-Anhalt's Altmark region, Germany, first mentioned in 956 and home to a Benedictine nunnery called Marienthal founded between 1170 and 1200.
In 1562, the von Bismarck family acquired the former abbey lands in exchange for their Burgstall estate, transforming the site into a Rittergut with a Prussian Baroque manor house built in 1725 from the ruins of the Thirty Years' War.
The village features the preserved abbey church and lies in a hilly area reaching 73 meters elevation, offering views over the Wische plain to the Elbe River.
