The Kruckeberg Botanic Garden in Shoreline, Washington is a unique four-acre garden founded in 1958 by Dr. Arthur Kruckeberg, a University of Washington botany professor, and his wife Mareen.

The garden reflects their naturalistic approach, combining native Pacific Northwest plants with unusual and exotic species collected from the West Coast and around the world. With over 2,000 species including native and exotic conifers, hardwoods, rhododendrons, and magnolias, it serves as a living collection and sanctuary for plant life and birdwatching. The garden features rare and champion trees, and plants grown from seed or cuttings collected on-site.

It is open to the public on Fridays through Sundays with free admission and also offers tours and horticultural workshops by appointment. The garden embodies the legacy of its founders, inspiring community connection to the natural world through its botanical richness and informal woodland setting.​
