Kula, Hawaii, United States
Kula Botanical Garden, located in Kula on the slopes of Haleakalā in Maui, Hawaii, was established in 1968 by landscape architects Warren and Helen McCord initially as a display garden for their business.
Spanning eight acres at about 3,300 feet elevation, the garden features nearly 2,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants from around the world, including native Hawaiian flora like koa and kukui trees. Visitors can explore diverse collections such as proteas, orchids, bromeliads, and native species along winding paths that pass waterfalls, koi ponds, rock formations, a covered bridge, and an aviary.
