Lake Winnepesaukah, also known as Lake Winnie, is a historic amusement park located in Rossville, Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Founded in 1925 by Carl and Minette Dixon, the park began as a swimming and picnicking spot around a natural lake and has grown over nearly 100 years into a 32-hectare park featuring 38 rides and a 5-acre water park called SoakYa.
One of its most notable attractions is the Boat Chute, opened in 1927, which is recognized as the oldest mill chute water ride still operating in the United States.
The park also features the Cannon Ball roller coaster, a classic wooden coaster from 1967, along with a historic carousel and family-friendly rides. Lake Winnepesaukah maintains its nostalgic charm while offering modern amenities and continues to be a beloved destination for family fun and amusement.
