Lakes Beach
Barbados, Barbados
Lakes Beach is a quiet, wide Atlantic‑facing beach on the east coast of Barbados, located in the parish of St. Andrew between Barclays Park and Cattlewash.
It has a broad stretch of golden sand backed by grassy and vegetated coastline, forming part of a natural coastal corridor that connects Walkers Beach and Morgan Lewis Beach for easy walking along the shore. The waters here are rough and powerful, so swimming is not recommended and there are no lifeguards or formal facilities, making it better for walking, photography, and watching waves rather than bathing. From April to June the beach and nearby areas also serve as a nesting site for leatherback turtles, adding an ecological highlight for visitors.
