Lendonwood Gardens in Grove, Oklahoma, is an eight-acre non-profit botanical garden founded in 1995 by Dr. Leonard Miller, a retired dentist who combined American and Japanese gardening styles.
The gardens showcase more than 1,400 types of plants, including one of the largest collections of false cypress in the U.S., the largest rhododendron collection in the Southwest, and extensive varieties of daylilies, Japanese maples, bonsai, dogwoods, and hostas.
The property features shady pathways, a koi pond, a butterfly waystation, and themed gardens such as the Oklahoma Garden, which highlights plants proven suitable for the region.
