Lichtenberg Castle is a large ruin of a spur castle near Thallichtenberg in the Kusel district of Rhineland‑Palatinate, Germany, stretching about 425 meters along the ridge so that it is counted among the longest and largest castle ruins in the country and the biggest in the Palatinate region.

It was built around 1200 by the counts of Veldenz and later became the administrative seat of the Duchy of Palatinate‑Zweibrücken until the mid‑18th century, when the ducal administration moved to Kusel; the castle itself was burned down in 1799 and afterwards left in a ruined state.

Today the extensive complex is freely accessible all year round and is used as a cultural site with museums, a restaurant, a youth hostel, and event spaces built into and around the preserved walls, towers, and gate structures, while still offering a clear impression of its former size and strategic importance in the Palatine forest landscape.
