The Loki-Schmidt-Garten, also known as the Botanischer Garten Hamburg or Botanischer Garten der Universität Hamburg, is a 25-hectare botanical garden maintained by the University of Hamburg, located at Ohnhorststrasse 18 in the Osdorf quarter near Klein Flottbek station.

Founded in 1821 and originally situated at Dammtor, the garden moved to its current Klein Flottbek location in 1979 and was renamed in 2012 to honor Loki Schmidt, the botanist and conservationist wife of former German chancellor Helmut Schmidt, who worked to preserve the green area for decades.

The garden is organized into three major sections: a systematic garden with 90 beds of plants organized by evolutionary relationship, a geographical garden featuring plants arranged by origin including Europe, North America, South America, and East Asia along with an alpine garden, Japanese garden, and Chinese garden, and a "Plant and Man" section with five thematic gardens including a Farmer's Garden, Biblical Garden, pharmacy garden, and poisonous and medicinal plants.

The site includes research labs, a glass pyramid, the cubic Loki-Schmidt-Haus with a museum for useful plants, tropical greenhouses, and diverse ecosystems ranging from crops and a German forest to Mediterranean, boreal, and alpine sections. Entry is free, the garden is open daily year-round with seasonal hours from 9 am to 4-8 pm, and visitors can enjoy tours and refreshments at Café Palme.
