McCrory Gardens in South Dakota is a 70-acre botanical garden and arboretum located on the South Dakota State University campus in Brookings. It includes over 25 acres of formal display gardens and a 45-acre arboretum that features hundreds of flowers, trees, shrubs, and grasses arranged in harmonious settings.

Established in the 1960s and named after Professor S.A. McCrory, the gardens focus on showcasing plants that are adapted to South Dakota's climate while also conducting ongoing research on plant introduction, cultivation, and evaluation. The gardens serve an educational purpose and provide a beautiful, serene space for visitors to enjoy throughout the year.

They are funded primarily through donations, memberships, admission fees, and endowments and remain a unique site for both botanical beauty and scientific study in the northern Great Plains region.
