Meerkerk Gardens in Greenbank, Washington, is a 53-acre public rhododendron garden established in the early 1960s by Ann and Max Meerkerk.

It features over 10 acres of display gardens with a remarkable collection of more than 1,500 species and hybrids of rhododendrons, azaleas, and companion plants, surrounded by 43 acres of natural coastal woodlands. The gardens are designed as a series of garden rooms, inspired by renowned gardens such as Exbury Gardens in England, with scenic woodland trails, peaceful water features, and panoramic views of Holmes Harbor.

The Secret Garden area showcases mature rhododendrons under a canopy of trees, while other highlights include the Cherry Tree Alley, Big Leaf Valley, and the Elsie Watson Hybridizer Garden. The gardens also host events, educational programs, and offer facilities for gatherings, making it both a botanical treasure and a community hub that balances cultivated beauty with natural preservation.
