Metternich Castle, also known as Burg Beilstein, is a ruined spur castle perched about 60 meters above the small wine village of Beilstein on the Moselle in Rhineland‑Palatinate, Germany.

It sits on a steep rocky spur at roughly 150 meters above sea level, originally built in the mid‑13th century and first mentioned in 1268, and served as a stronghold that changed hands several times until it became the property of the House of Metternich in 1637, after which it took its current name.

The castle was destroyed by French troops in 1689 but has since been stabilized and partially restored, so today visitors see clearly readable ruins including parts of the ring wall, towers, and a keep that can be climbed for panoramic views over the Moselle valley and the vineyards around Beilstein.

The site also hosts a small restaurant and event space, combining historic atmosphere with dining and cultural activities in a popular stop along the Moselle tourist route.
