Moncrivello Castle is a historic fortress in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, with origins dating back to around the year 1000.

Built on a hill overlooking the surrounding plains, it served as an important defensive stronghold and passed through the hands of powerful rulers, including the Marquises of Monferrato, the Bishops of Vercelli, and the House of Savoy. In the 15th century, Yolande of Valois transformed the castle from a military fortress into an elegant noble residence, adding more comfortable and refined architectural features.

Despite suffering damage from fires in the 19th century, the castle was later restored and recognized as a national monument in 1908. Today, visitors can admire its medieval tower, defensive walls, and historic interiors while enjoying panoramic views across the Vercelli plain. The castle remains an important symbol of the region’s medieval and Renaissance heritage.
