Naturparkhaus Schloss Großsölk is located in a historic castle built in the 14th century that served as a key stop and resting place for traders traveling through the Sölkpass trade route.

It was owned by local rulers until 1617, when it was sold to the Jesuit order. After the order's dissolution, the building became a parish house, and since 1998 it has housed the Naturparkhaus, a nature park center. The castle now features a permanent exhibition in six medieval rooms covering the natural and historical heritage of the surrounding area with interactive and educational displays for children and adults.

The grounds include the Jesuit garden, which contains medicinal herbs and rare plants, and the nearby St. Leonhard Church, converted from a former stable.
