The New Palace in Potsdam, Germany, is a grand Baroque structure built between 1763 and 1769 on the western edge of Sanssouci Park at the order of Frederick the Great to celebrate Prussia's victory in the Seven Years' War.

Designed by architects including Johann Gottfried Büring, Heinrich Ludwig Manger, and Carl von Gontard, it features lavish Baroque and Rococo elements like marble, gilt, stone facades with painted brick effects, over 400 sandstone statues, a massive central dome topped by the Prussian crown, and opulent interiors such as the Grotto Hall with encrusted shells and the Marble Hall for grand receptions.

Though not Frederick's main residence, it hosted dignitaries and royals; later used by Prussian kings like Frederick William IV and Wilhelm II, it survived World War II largely intact, becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990. Today, the palace draws visitors for its 200+ rooms, historical splendor, and role as the largest building in Sanssouci Park, offering a vivid glimpse into Prussian power and architectural excess.
