Nylon Pool is a natural shallow pool located off Pigeon Point in Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago. It is known for its crystal-clear, turquoise waters and sandy bottom, created by a sandbar and lagoon in the middle of the ocean.
The pool is about one meter deep, allowing visitors to wade or swim comfortably while being surrounded by the deeper Caribbean Sea on one side and a palm-fringed beach on the other. Named by Princess Margaret in 1962 because its water reminded her of nylon stockings, Nylon Pool is famous for its serene beauty and is a popular spot for snorkeling and boat tours originating from nearby beaches like Store Bay and Pigeon Point.
Local legends claim the waters have rejuvenating powers, and couples who kiss underwater are said to be blessed with lasting happiness, making it a romantic and enchanting destination.
