The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, founded in 1902 and located on 130 acres in Oklahoma City, is home to over 2,000 animals of more than 500 species and features extensive botanical displays.

It has evolved through the years with notable exhibits like the Cat Forest/Lion Overlook, Great EscApe primate habitat, and the recently opened Expedition Africa, a 12-acre savanna-style enclosure housing over 60 African species. The zoo also showcases native wildlife in the Oklahoma Trails exhibit and supports conservation programs locally and globally, including efforts for the Texas horned lizard and Sri Lankan elephants.

The botanical garden complements the animal exhibits with diverse plant collections and seasonal events such as Safari Lights.
