Olcott Beach Carousel Park in Olcott, New York, on Lake Ontario's southern shore, opened in 2003 as a nonprofit volunteer-run "Vintage Kiddie Park" on the site of historic Luna Park and New Rialto Park, featuring a fully restored 1920s-style Herschell-Spillman two-row carousel with adopt-a-horse plaques, plus five classic kiddie rides like Skyfighter planes, Kiddy Car fire trucks, Boat Ride, Rocket Swing, and a restored kiddy Ferris wheel, all priced at just 25 cents per ride for kids 52 inches and under.
Additional charms include a 1931 Wurlitzer Band Organ, vintage arcade in a replica of early 1900s photographer John Boeckmann's studio, Tom Kelley Rustic Theater for kids' shows, skee-ball, rocking chairs, magic performances, clean facilities with nursing areas, and leashed-dog welcome in a smoke- and alcohol-free space.
Operating weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day with special events like Park After Dark, it offers affordable nostalgic fun near beaches, piers, and Krull Park splash areas for family memories on a budget.
