Old Bishop's Palace, also known as Llandaff Castle, is a ruined medieval bishop's residence in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom—not Norway—located south of Llandaff Cathedral. Built around 1266 during Bishop William de Braose's tenure, its twin-towered gatehouse echoes Caerphilly Castle's style, suggesting a shared master mason, within a small fortress enclosure of curtain walls, three towers, and timber buildings. Damaged by Owain Glyndŵr's rebellion in 1402–1405 and likely destroyed in the English Civil War, it was abandoned for Mathern Palace and now stands as a Grade I listed heritage site amid a public park.
