Olerud gård
Sørumsand, Norway, Norway
Olerud gård, located near Sørumsand in Sørum municipality, Akershus, Norway, gained tragic notoriety as the site of the 1999 Orderud triple murder, where wealthy farmer Kristian Orderud, his wife Marie, and daughter Anne Orderud Paust were shot in their home on the estate. Originally part of the larger Orderud property with roots in agricultural history, Per Orderud—convicted alongside his wife and stepbrother in the case—purchased the farm, buildings, and lands in 2004 for 2.9 million kroner using a bank loan while imprisoned, paying it off through rentals and leasing. After serving 15 years, he returned to reside in the main house by 2018, with farmland operations still outsourced, amid the property's complex inheritance disputes.
