Orto Botanico Conservativo Francesco Busnello
Treviso, Italy, Italy
The Orto Botanico Conservativo Francesco Busnello is a small conservation botanical garden in Treviso, created in 1987 to protect traditional fruit varieties and local plant diversity.
It was designed by the Accademia Trevigiana per il Territorio and is named after Carlo Spegazzini’s local botanical legacy, while the Busnello name honors the first Italian heart donor. The garden contains about 100 plants from roughly 24 species, including old fruit trees and other useful plants, and it works with the University of Padua to conserve the genetic heritage of varieties that are becoming rare.
