Oslo ladegård
Oslo, Norway, Norway
Oslo ladegård is a Baroque manor house from the 1720s in the heart of medieval Oslo, built by Karen Toller over the cellar walls of Christen Mules gård, site of the 1589 wedding between James VI of Scotland and Princess Anne. Named after the old town's designation as a supply depot for Akershus fortress post-1624 Christiania founding, its arched medieval hall stems from the 13th-century bishop's palace, while restored salons showcase 17th-18th century interiors. Expropriated for railways in 1894 and transferred to Oslo municipality in 1956, it now functions as a museum, concert venue, and event space with a reconstructed 1779 garden.
